Global Systems Technologies, Inc has an excellent opportunity for an Upper Mid-Level to Senior Systems Engineer/Architect supporting it’s Professional Engineering and Logistics Support Services (PELSS3) contract in the development and support of the Transportation Security Administration’s Open Architecture initiative involving leading edge technologies in a real-time environment. This is an opening supporting advanced designs and guiding development as the TSA transitions from proprietary silo systems to a flexible, high-speed, computing and communications environ protecting passengers and crews throughout the National Airspace and Airport System including international flights.
The ideal candidate will have, at a minimum, a BS Degree from an accredited college or university, and at least seven years’ experience involving key aspects of government system Engineering, including but not limited to Requirements Analysis and Development; System Analysis and Design; Logistics Analysis and Process Support, Open Architecture approaches, methodologies and development of integrated processing and communications systems; real-time/near-time systems, expertise in understanding and applying statistical methodologies and experience with Model Based Engineering; familiarity with high-speed networking, products and protocols; and a firm understanding of secure systems computing and cyber security.
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, capable of passing DHS/TSA suitability requirements, able to be cleared to SECRET, and reside within reasonable, potentially, daily travel time to the Washington DC metro area.
Pluses for a candidate include, MS degree, 10+ years’ experience in Federal programs, familiarity with acquisition processes such as the AD-102 Standard; excellent writing and presentation skills, excellent listening skills; familiarity with software design and development methods, familiarity with modeling and simulation, and an understanding of object (non-medical) image scanning using Computed Tomography (CT). Hands on engineering with networking, design, products, protocols will be very helpful.

Requirements
Qualifications:

Technical support ranges from lab management to research and development (R&D) on the detectable properties of explosives and other dangerous materials, new technology for explosive detection in passenger and cargo screening, testing and certification of explosive detection equipment.
