The Global Trade Compliance Manager will drive the strategy and implementation of the Global Compliance program for a multinational company ensuring compliance with customs and other government agency rules and regulations. The manager will lead a small team of direct reports.

This is a hybrid/remote position for a Kentucky based company.

EXPECTATIONS

• Serve as the \#1 corporate Global Trade Compliance leader
• Oversee all aspects of import and export compliance for worldwide locations. HTS/ECCN classification, Country of Origin, valuation, FTA, documentation, record keeping, PGAs (FDA, USDA), etc.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure trade compliance is understood
• Conduct audit/risk assessments to identify process improvements & corrective actions
• Work closely with external partners; customs brokers, CBP, government agencies
• Stay current with changes in trade compliance to understand impact to existing process

ESSENTIALS

•  In-depth experience managing all aspects of global trade compliance program
• Thorough understanding of customs rules and regulations
• High level understanding of export controls, RPS, sanctions, embargo, FCPA
• Self-starter, highly motivated with excellent leadership and attention to detail skills
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels on internal and external partners
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimal travel required
