    Global Transportation Finance Associate Attorney (2–7 Years) – Miami

    Direct Counsel is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Finance Associate for its Global Transportation Finance practice in Miami. This team is nationally recognized as a top-tier group handling some of the most sophisticated transactions in the aviation, rail, and maritime finance space. If you're a transactional attorney looking to work with high-caliber clients on cross-border matters involving complex assets, this could be a career-defining move.

    About the Role

    The group represents major banks, leasing companies, airlines, private equity firms, and institutional investors in high-value transactions involving:

    • Acquisition and leasing of aircraft, railcars, vessels, and other specialty assets

    • Cross-border and domestic structured finance

    • Restructurings, workouts, and enforcement matters

    You’ll work alongside over 60 attorneys in a collaborative environment that provides early client exposure and encourages business development participation. This team has been ranked Band 1 nationwide by Chambers USA for nearly two decades.

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications

    • 2–7 years of transactional experience at a law firm.

    • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

    • Background in any of the following areas: aviation finance, structured finance, leveraged finance, maritime, real estate finance, project finance, capital markets, securitization, or private equity.

    • Experience juggling multiple deals at once and managing timelines independently.

    • J.D. from a respected institution with strong academic credentials.

    • Admitted in Florida or actively pursuing Florida Bar admission.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Base Salary: $235,000 – $330,000 depending on class year and experience.
