  • Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
    2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service times.
    3. Perform maintenance technician skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
    4. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, machinery assembly drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    5. Diagnose process and machinery problems utilizing root cause failure analysis techniques, replace or repair equipment parts, test and make adjustments as required.
    6. Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
    7. Use a variety of hand and power tools, basic shop machinery, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
    8. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

    Electrical Skills - AC Systems

    • Ability to read/interpret electrical prints
    • Wire simple 110V 1-phase, 220V-3 phase, 480V 3-phase circuits
    • Troubleshoot electrical circuits

    Electrical Skills - DC Systems

    • Ability to read/interpret electrical prints
    • Wire simple 12V or 24V circuits
    • Wire photo-eye or proximity sensors
    • Troubleshoot electrical circuits with sensors

    Pneumatic Skills

    • Understand operation of  2, 3, and 4-way valves
    • Understand operation of  single/double acting cylinders

    Mechanical Skills

    • Replace gearboxes and motors
    • Replace bearings and chain drives
    • Basic conveyor adjustment

    Additional Skills Needed

    • PLC programming experience
    • Basic PLC input/output wiring
    • Atlas Copco DC Tool experience
    • Machining
    • Welding/Fabrication

    MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS TEST WILL BE ADMINISTERED AFTER THE INTERVIEWS

     

    Required Skills

    • High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
    • An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance and HVAC applications preferred.

    Required Experience

    • 4+ years of maintenance technician experience with strong analysis and repair skills in: electrical ac/dc systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical applications, power transmission systems, fluid mechanics/properties, tubing and hosing applications, operation of mobile equipment, and machine safe guarding.
    • PLC and ladder logic design/troubleshooting
    • Robot teach point and programming code understanding
