COST ANALYST
The ability to be self-sufficient as well as operating in a team environment, supporting both the Functional organizations as well as ensuring program financial commitments are met will be fundamental to success in this role. The cost analyst covers a wide set of requirements, and a successful candidate will need to show strong problem solving skills, keen attention to detail, flexibility in job abilities and strong communication skills. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop queries and reports for data extraction from ERP system
- Create, deploy, train, and maintain dashboards via Tableau
- Prepare, compile and analyze inventory, gross margin, product costs
- Review and adjust product costs based on audit variances
- Perform analysis of product costs requiring complex analytical skills and provide written presentation of trends and conclusions
- Develop “Small Business Plans” in support of military contract
- Audit and maintain rates and key report variables
- Generate costing and pricing models in collaboration with Engineering, Marketing and Supply Chain
- Prepare and present sales, inventory and financial forecast
- Coordinate and report out Cycle Counting efforts
- Assist in the analysis of monthly financial statements in relation to the forecast
- Work with Supply Chain and Marketing as part of the strategy team surrounding pricing and sourcing
- Develop Cost and Pricing data in support of TINA requirements for military contracting
- Be the point person when working with internal and external auditors
- Perform other ad-hoc projects as needed
