Through our subscription box and online shop, we curate crafted, distinct goods and educate customers about how and where our artisans created them.

    BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:

    As Operation Assistant you will have the overall responsibility to support the product sourcing and operations teams at GlobeIn by facilitating the buying, sourcing, and selling of Fair Trade products at GlobeIn.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • No experience required. This is en entry level position.
    • Ability to do essential job duties.
    • Ability to read, understand, speak and follow English instructions.
    • Display superior interpersonal skills for effective communication with peers.
    • Exceptional writing skills is a plus.

    OTHER INFORMATION:

    • US Citizen or work visa.
    • Shopify experience is a plus.
    • Experience working in a social business, nonprofit, or e-commerce fields is a plus.
    • Advanced research skills and fast learner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. The following are the essential functions of the job.

    DUTIES:

    • Work closely with the Merchandising and Inventory Manager to streamline upload processes, such as the creation and maintenance of new and old products SKUs to Shopify and internal systems (other).
    • Develop and manage the database of artisans, including their individual stories and photography for use in web and print, to share cross-departmentally with the Marketing, Impact, and Product/Ops Departments.
    • Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to aid the productivity of procurement and maintenance of artisan relationships.
    • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager with any outstanding tasks for the fulfillment of shipments, both internationally and domestically.
    • Conduct basic market research on new potential suppliers across the Fair Trade and ethical industry.
    • Copy-writing for print materials and online product pages.

    This is a full-time position. Flexible work hours and opportunity to work-remotely.
