    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Biologics Specialist will be responsible for growing Globus Medical’s biologics market share in a given area through customer engagement and professionally positioning Globus’ biologic products above competition. As a cross functional contributor, the individual will work with their respective zone sales team, pricing and contracts, reimbursements and surgeons to provide technical knowledge and increase economic efficiencies for the customers we serve.

    THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

    • Developing thorough knowledge and understanding of all Globus Medical products and major competitors in the biologics space for musculoskeletal applications

    • Developing strategies and tactics to generate new biologics business

    • Working closely with the zone sales VPs and Area Directors to discuss new strategies to improve surgeon engagement on biologics

    • Developing marketing strategies to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity

    • Understanding the pricing and contracts challenge with specific customers and work with the respective teams to identify solutions 

    • Providing Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to Surgeons on Globus biologics portfolio

    • Providing product educational programs/in-services to customers

    • Attending and participating in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed

    • Evaluating and communicating new product needs to the product development team

    • Staying well-informed on cutting-edge biologics used for spine fusion and orthopedic indications

    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with field sales and customers

    • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

    • Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

     

    IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related biologics field of study
    • Minimum three years of experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical sales
    • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
    • Strong business planning skills and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
    • Ability to learn and understand technical aspects of procedures/therapies from basic science, anatomy and read published clinical articles and interpret results

    THE FOLLOWING SKILL SETS ARE PREFERRED BY THE BUSINESS UNIT:

    • Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or Biological Sciences
    • Demonstrated ability to identify unique sales opportunities and to perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities
