  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    The Utility Technician will learn and develop skills required to run CNC equipment while maintaining the manufacturing machines with upkeep, fluid levels and general maintenance. This will include preparing materials needed to set up and operate machines, along with keeping the manufacturing area clean and organized.

    Hours: 2nd Shift / 2:45 PM-11:15 PM

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Performing support functions and secondary operations in manufacturing after being safely trained and familiarized with the operation and upkeep of required company equipment
    • Operating manual and automated manufacturing equipment per process instructions
    • Assist with organization of department to improve efficiency.
    • Performing daily and preventative maintenance per manufacturer specification including sweeping, mopping, wiping down machines, emptying chip barrels, deburring of parts, prepping stock for machining, gun drilling of parts, vapor degreasing, operating tumbling equipment, bending of parts to meet specifications and preparing material
    • Work with others to obtain a greater understand of the manufacturing process with CNC machines.
    • Completing all paperwork required relating to specific work assignments
    • Performing other duties as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the company
    • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
    • Representing the company in a professional manner and upholding the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required
    • Mechanically-inclined
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Flexibility to work on different types of projects
    • Experience working on different types of machinery
