JOB DESCRIPTION

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, ever-changing and exciting startup environment, then this is the job for you! As a nursery development consultant, you will develop the supplier side of our marketplace, ensuring that we are partnering with the right growers and offering competitive prices to our customers. The job will involve traveling to nurseries, growers and re-wholesale suppliers in Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas. You'll play a pivotal role in growing our business from day 1, enjoy flexible working hours, and  be able to continuously share your ideas with us. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Create an extensive list of suppliers based on quality, price, geographic location, etc.
• Introduce GoMaterials to growers that have competitive pricing, quality products, strong inventories, and are looking to grow their business across the state of Texas
• Introduce GoMaterials to re-wholesalers
• Verify quotes sent to potential customers to evaluate if pricing is competitive

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 5+ years of experience in landscape construction industry
• 10-15 years of experience as a buyer of landscape materials (plants, trees, SOD, etc.)
• Written and spoken proficiency in English
• Previously established and strong relationships with nurseries, growers and re-wholesale suppliers across Texas (Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio)
• Strong understanding of the market and industry (prices, popular products, sizing, etc.)
• Established relationships with transportation companies to assist in building a strong network 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
