    Job Description/Duties/Responsibilities:

    Why is the Quality Engineer role important to us?

    We are looking for a diligent Quality Engineer to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

    The Quality Engineer will oversee all aspects of quality control, including inspecting products, developing standards, documenting processes, and analyzing data.

    You will identify quality issues and implement solutions to resolve them.

    In this role, you will:

    ? Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential nonconformance as early as possible

    ? Inspect product and materials for defects and durability along with sort as needed

    ? Support the team to achieve all customer requirements for APQP

    ? Supporting Corrective Action Team's (CAR) to complete 8D and drive change

    ? Lead root cause analysis using applicable problem-solving tools (5-Why/Fishbone)

    ? Establishes statistical trends by identifying and tracking quality concerns, acceptable error and measures of improvement.

    ? Development of receiving inspection sampling plans by applying metrics to guide

    ? Development of inspection and work instructions as needed

    ? Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes

    ? Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations

    ? Complete PPAP and fulfill all requirements of the customer for current and existing programs (this would include completing/performing; IMDS, FMEA, Control Plans, Cpk, MSA, Gage R&R studies)

    ? Assist in any further quality requirements such as time studies, updating processes and supporting production

    ? Assist to determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures

    ? Audit our systems based on ISO 9001 and IATF requirements to ensure quality compliance to the standard, the company and the customer.

    ? Review current blueprints and quality documentation to support document control

    ? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    Minimum Skills/Mandatory Skills/Experience Needed for Hire:

     

    You might be a good fit if (you have/are):

    • 5+ years experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
    • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field
    • CQE certification (preferred)
    • Experience in the automotive industry and with customers (preferred Tier 1)
    • Hands-on experience with QMS and testing methodologies
    • Skilled in statistical analysis (SPC) and certified in AIAG Core Tools
    • Excellent organization skills and capacity to work independently
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and familiarity with ISO/IATF standards
    • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Passionate about quality and driven to deliver results

     

    Educational Requirement:

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field
