Golden is looking for pragmatic, hungry and curious hackers to join its mission in organizing the world's knowledge. The company is in relative stealth right now, venture backed by tier A investors and led up by serial entrepreneur Jude Gomila (founder of Heyzap acquired for $45m 2016 / YC '09 and investor in 100+ startups). We are looking for a front end focused, multi-disciplinary engineer with a knack for picking up new technologies. As an early team member, you would be working in a startup environment with high autonomy and a rapid development pace. Among other areas, the work will involve general web app product and feature building. Work will also relate to the real world in making a product that people use and love. We are looking for special early engineers to join us.
We are looking for:
- A brilliant front end software engineer, or generalist but leaning towards the FE
- Multi disciplinary generalist with a knack for picking up new technologies and languages
- Experience building complex web apps
- Master of UIs with tools like React, Redux, Webpack, ES6 etc.
- Concerned with snappiness
- Responsivity master
- User experience and quality are at the core of your work
- Knowing when to be hacky and when to be perfect
- Hard-working and passionate about what they work on
- Intellectual curiosity
- Interest in knowledge and the pursuit of knowledge
- Full time in San Francisco office
Bonus points:
- Fullstack or backend experience
- Python experience
- Enjoys personal side projects and/or hacking
- Interested in HCI, UI/UX flow, design
- Avid reader
- Masters or BS in CS or a related discipline. We also consider exceptional applicants with other backgrounds (e.g., self-taught)
