    Job Description

    Golden Age Companions is looking for an assertive, self-starting, and energetic Sales/Marketing professional who is solely responsible for the market in Coachella Valley, Ca.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Experience in Healthcare Management; and 2-3 years of marketing experience in-home care, home health, hospice, durable medical, assisted living or nursing homes is PREFERRED

    • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) as well as a positive professional business image

    • Flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends to attend functions and events

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and Market all local referral centers (hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living with rehabilitation or respite care, doctors’ offices, and other health providers) and manage newly generated lead sources

    • Arrange in-person & virtual presentations of our home care services at staff meetings in hospitals, nursing homes, doctor’s offices, and private companies

    • Attend trade shows, conferences, networking events representing our agency services

    • Track networking efforts and review with Staff Coordinators regularly

    • Familiar with COVID Guidelines and protocols in the healthcare service field

    SALES TERRITORY: COACHELLA VALLEY

    JOB REQUIREMENT: 

    Ideal Candidate will have three (3) or more years of proven sales experience and documented results working with clients and case managers in multiple healthcare settings.

    • Healthcare Sales experience in-home care, pharmaceutical or healthcare-related industry

    • Flexible to market into new areas as needed based upon market conditions and reimbursement

    • Knowledgeable of home care industries including the major players, competitors, and market position

    • Understand and can articulate the benefits of home care to both professional referral sources and consumer

    Expectations: 

    • Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with all referral sources, i.e., physicians, hospital case managers, social workers, discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, independent and assisted living communities, mental health facilities, etc.

    • Visiting all potential clients before starting service to evaluate need, safety, and payment

    • Distribute marketing and sales material promoting the company and programs

    • Must generate new business from referral sources in all healthcare settings and private clients in territories serviced and identified by Management/Director of Operations

    • Flexible to make changes in strategy as identified by management, market conditions, and reimbursement

    • Maintain accurate client records and database of all clients and potential prospects

    • Identify new areas and facilities to bring in new business

    • Submits timely weekly management reports to Director of Operations identifying pertinent information as requested

    • Familiar with COVID Guidelines and protocols in the healthcare service field

      • Must have a reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
    • Reports to the Director of Operations and meets on weekly basis to discuss weekly activities and strategy

    Salary is based upon draw and commission and achieving all company objectives

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Acquires business through the development of new customer relationships.

    • Acquires new client referrals through the development of existing customer relationships.

    • Promotes ReMed to prospective customers through cold calling, scheduled appointments, telephone contact, presentations, and in-services, using designated clinical staff as technical support when needed.

    • Conduct tours of ReMed programs for prospective referral sources, customers, clients, and their families, and other interested parties.

    • Attends and exhibits at conferences as designated by the Director of National Accounts.

    • When necessary, accompany clinical staff on client evaluations in order to help gather information, and facilitate the admission. Performs intakes as requested.

    • Through field-based knowledge, assists Director of National Accounts in the formulation of ongoing market research, strategy, and planning. Provides Director of National Accounts, and other appropriate parties with any feedback from the field.

    • Through both formal and informal discussions, educates ReMed program staff on customer/market needs and how they as client advocates should interface with ReMed referral sources. Develops an opportunity for advisory committees.

    • Monitors the journey of any and all of their admitted clients through ReMed programs to ensure that customer issues are handled proactively, and problems are resolved expeditiously. Attends client conferences per Case Manager notification.

    • Maintains accurate documentation of all sales activity in ReMed’s CRM including weekly schedules and activity reports, and submits as assigned by the Director of National Accounts on the assigned date.

    • Works with the Director of Marketing to initiate and implement special projects such as promotional events, conferences, etc.

    • Analyzes documentation of sales activity, weekly schedules, and activity reports to develop quarterly territory plan for assigned territory per ReMed’s client management system (CMS). Participates in weekly Marketing calls and quarterly Marketing meetings as determined by the Director of National Accounts.

    Education & Experience

    A bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct sales experience in a healthcare-related field is required. Direct rehabilitation experience is preferred. Knowledge of insurance/health care reimbursement is essential. Competence in planning, organizational, writing, speaking, time management, and communication skills are required.
