    Currently, we are seeking an individual as a Vice President of Construction at our Company Support Center in Raleigh, NC, on the Golden Corral Development team.

    The Vice President of Construction is responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of construction, both corporate and franchise, including restaurant design / engineering and new construction for Golden Corral Corporation through Golden Corral Development Corporation. This position is responsible for maximizing the financial objectives of GC Development through proper project management, scheduling, budgeting, and contract negotiating. Another key responsibility is the complete oversight and leadership of the corporate office construction personnel and the field personnel.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop, review and approve all construction cost estimates for new company and selected franchise projects. Monitor project objectives during construction with all construction personnel involved so that all projects are completed within prescribed schedules and budgets. 40%

    Develop and implement standards and procedures for builders, subcontractors, and vendors that will produce top quality projects that are delivered on time and within budget. 30%

    Create, enhance and monitor cost –effective changes to the designs in use. Participate in the development and implementation of all design changes initiated by the Concept Committee or within the Construction Department. 20%

    Coordinate with the Legal and Real Estate Departments on language and scope of work details that are required on real estate contracts. 5%

    Develop and establish procedures for the procurement of permits that meets or accelerates the Company Development Plan. 5%

    Education/Experience: B.S. in civil or mechanical engineering or architectural degree. Must possess experience as a project manager and have general contracting background. Previous positions held should include Director of Construction, Vice President of Construction or similar positions.
