Golden Home Management (Golden Home) is a growing Company looking to hire an “Area Manager” to take on a leadership role in the Austin area. A minimum 5 years experienced doing direct Handyman/Repair work along with supervising home remodeling is required. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and pass the background, reference checks and if not already are certified to complete the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) course within 30 days of employment. (Required)
The Area Manager’s roles and responsibilities will start with being the front facing representative to our client base in the local area. While maintaining strong relationships with our clients you will be required to provide the necessary hands-on work within their personal homes at the same time coordinating the necessary outside vendors to complete the more complex work. The required skills you possess include but not limited to:
Ability to maintain relationships with multiple clients both written and verbal
Keeping and submitting accurate records and documents, which include receipts, writing invoices, applying for permits and keeping before and after pictures of your projects.
Interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with clients and other vendors.
Create a reputation with the customers that affords the ability to be trusted with their property unsupervised.
Project manage vendor relationships during construction of multiple projects
Building relationships vendors and suppliers to achieve preferred pricing
Provide working bids for construction projects based on vendors
Perform general repair to property including but not limited to sheetrock repair, tile work, adjustment to plumbing fixtures and painting as needed.
Perform minor electrical repair and wiring on fixtures and appliances.
Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
Complete general building maintenance
Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed
Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the home
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks Identify and report the need for major repairs.
Maintain the Austin Area Phone Number to handle incoming calls
Update necessary information with our software data based daily.
Must Physical Requirements:
Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate construction tools, office business machines (calculator, phone, fax, copier etc.) and a personal computer.
Hearing and speech sufficient to verbally communicate in person and on the telephone.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to ascend and descend on ladders.
Must be able to walk on roofs of homes (1 and 2 story) for roof inspection/repair.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperature conditions (i.e., heat, snow, ice).
Must have the ability to drive and safely operate a vehicle.
