Golden State Dermatology (GSD) is a comprehensive medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology practice with locations throughout the Bay area and central California. Due to its long-established reputation in each of its markets. GSD has a robust referral network and offers in-house Mohs surgery for the treatment of skin cancer. THE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT WON’T BE LIMITED TO:

• Work account aging reports and meeting collection goals.
• Review denied claims in a timely manner and contact insurance companies to obtain information as necessary.
•  Re-bill corrected claims as necessary
• File appeals (first level, second level, peer to peer)
• Communicate professionally with insurance companies, physicians, and clinic staff
• Perform other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Minimum of 1-year billing experience
• Understanding of EOBS, Medicare guidelines, CCI edits, and appeals processes
• Experience with eCW and EMA (Modernizing Medicine) a plus
• Microsoft Word and Excel
