Golden State Lumber is looking for a full-time Junior Accounting Specialist in our Newark lumberyard. We are a leading building supply company in the Bay Area. THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION FOR SOMEONE EXCITED TO JOIN A GREAT COMPANY AND GAIN MORE EXPERIENCE IN THE REVOLVING WORLD OF ACCOUNTING.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain daily cash and credit card reconciliation
• Conduct miscellaneous accounts review
• Submit job sheet to Shared Services
• Process Customer Refunds
• Prepare Brinks deposit slip for COD customers
• Manage resale certificate maintenance
• Post and deposit live checks using a check scanner
• Process credit card payments
• Process WebTrack payments
• Assist Accounts Receivable Analyst with special projects as needed

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years direct Accounting experience (preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
• BisTrack experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train
