Job Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Target Pay Range : $25.00-$30.00/hour; depending on level of relevant experience and qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation (PO, BOL) and obtain approval prior to processing
• Enter & Post invoices into computer system (over 180 invoices weekly)
• Ensure invoices are entered into accounting system timely and accurately
• Maintain and develop knowledge of miscellaneous 1099
• Respond to all vendor inquiries, timely, and with exceptional customer service.
• Provide reports as needed for vendor research and expense research.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research open PO’s, and review discrepancies for corrections
• Assist in month-end closing
• Ensure that discrepancies have proper authorization from approved buyers
• Ensure that vendor invoices are charged to proper GL accounts and expense tracking accounts
• Maintain files and support documentation as required
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• Close attention to detail and the ability to function efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues and achieve resolution
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and experience in using accounting software
