The Role You'll Play The Operations Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and leads daily activities of the shipping and Scheduling departments, including productivity, quality, service, cost, and on-time delivery in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring customer requirements and organization goals are achieved. This position will work from our City of Industry, CA location. This is an on-site position. What You'll Do * As a "hands-on-leader" you assist in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing and production operations, including but not limited to personnel management and team building, planning, forecasting & budgeting, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures. * Responsible for Scheduling and Shipping departments with Scheduler and Shipping Personnel. Assist on related projects to ensure efficient operations to meet and or exceed standards. In some cases, he/she may also manage the implementation of projects in collaboration with team/leads or directly. * Reschedules workflow when there are machine breakdowns, productivity slowdowns, changes in customer order or materials shortage. * Works closely with the customer service department, production planning, finishing, accounting and sales to ensure full customer satisfaction. This includes overseeing all warehouse space to best service of our customers, over Returned Goods process, manage inventory with the assistance of the sales team in customer locations * Ensures that trucks are scheduled to the best efficiency, keeping in mind freight costs and ship to locations when coordinating the preparation of the daily shipping schedule. * Ensures all work is performed in a safe, clean, productive environment. Promotes safety and housekeeping by following established safety rules and procedures. * May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What You'll Need * Atleast 5 years if relevant experience in the area of operations. * High School diploma or GED equivalent required. * Previous shipping and Scheduling experience required. * Prior experience in the packaging industry required. * Experience in integrated packaging highly preferred. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Strong ability to multitask. * Comfort working with multiple groups within business. * Possess a bias for action and results orientation. * Able to quickly pivot and adjust when unexpected "shifts" happen.
