    Job Title: Swim Force Coach

    Reports to: General Manager

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Summary: Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for swim team participants. Is expected to attend all swim meets and team functions throughout the year.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Follows the thorough, age-appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, stroke development and drills.

    Leads structured practices on scheduled shifts in the water with the children offering hand-on correction and manipulation.

    Learns all the swimmer’s names and abilities.

    Assists with all administrative matters relating to the team and swim meet arrangements.

    Engages in interaction with parents/guardians in the last few minutes.

    Assists in coordinating and executing Swim Force competitions.

    Engages parents and cultivates relationships to create a collaborative team environment.

    Assists in maintaining a clean and safe environment for Swim Force participants.

    Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

    Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider required. Two or more years as a swimming instructor required. Swim team experience required.

    Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid and Shallow Water Attendant required.

    Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate
