Role: Pool Operations Manager
Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing, pool operations, customer service, private party operations and workplace employee activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to GSS standard operating procedures.
• Assists General Manager and department managers with fulfillment the daily tasks
• Manages the staff and encourages high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction
• Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students.
• Gains knowledge and experience in the pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
• Initiates workplace employee engagement with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction.
• Provides direction in the retail and vending departments; also provides sales and marketing training to all qualified staff
• Works with staff on class scheduling, student progress, customer service and employee performance & training.
• Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures for the facility and trains staff
• Advances through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
• Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members.
Job Qualifications and Skills
• Prior related leadership, management and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)
• Problem solver and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background examinations prior to training
Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required (included in training – must be obtained in a negotiated about of time)
