    We are hiring TALENTED, ENERGETIC, ENGAGING DECK SUPERVISOR FOR BURLINGTON, ON

    Manages assigned shift including supervision of on-deck employees, maintenance of pool environment and interaction with students and parents. Performs as expert on all levels of the Goldfish curriculum. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Goldfish management policies and practices.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

    Provides leadership and constructive feedback to instructors and deck teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish curriculum

    Conduct daily pre-shifts meetings and prepares the deck for the shift

    Ensures all safety and health requirements are in practice in deck area

    Conducts periodic evaluations of instructors, and deck teachers.

    Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress. Acts as a Goldfish “ambassador” to ensure customer satisfaction

    Completes daily Deck Supervisor logs on assigned shift and monitors the children’s attendance.

    Coordinates tasks required to ensure the cleanliness of the pool facility.

    Arranges for replacements for absent employees.

    Maintains the appropriate levels of chemicals for the pool environment.

    Acts as substitute swim instructor when necessary.

    As a member of the deck supervisor team, suggests areas for improvement and implements corrective action through in-service’s or other training

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or greater.

    Two or more years as a swim instructor required.

    Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or teacher preferred.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard or Swim Instructor Certificate or equivalent

    Current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AEDWhile performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity.
