You do not have to come into this job knowing how to teach lessons or be a lifeguard. We will have paid training for you!

Goldfish Swim School teaches children from 4 months to 12 years old how to swim and be safer in and around the water. The tropical environment of our state of the art aquatic facility is like no other, the detailed curriculum we teach is proven with over 12 years of extraordinary results. Summary: Oversees the quality and success of all pool operations including the management of the Deck Supervising staff, Swim Instructors, as well as the on-deck staff, maintenance of pool environment and interaction with students and parents/guardians. Maintains expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and demonstrates thorough knowledge of GSS management policies and practices.

Duties Responsibilities include the following:

1. Provides leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to instructors and deck assistants to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

2. Proficient in the pump room and comfortable working with equipment.

3. Conducts periodic evaluations of instructors and deck supervisors.

4. Interacts with parents/guardians t o discuss student progress. Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure customer satisfaction.

5. Completes all aquatic and management based training

6. Act as substitute swim instructor, lifeguard, or front desk when necessary.

7. As a member of the deck supervisor team, suggests areas for improvement and implements a corrective action through in-service’s or other training.

8. Participates in training/in-services as required

9. All other tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager or General Manager

Certificates and Licenses: Willing to obtain Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, certified pool operator certification. All training is provided.

Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Shift Hours: Wednesday 12pm-8pm Thursday 12pm-8pm Friday 12pm-8pm Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm Sunday 8:30am-1pm
