    The following provides a detailed description for the position of Personal Trainer. Actual duties performed may vary slightly.

    General Position Description

    The Personal Trainer’s primary responsibilities will be to provide fee-for service customized fitness programs that include education and guidance on proper food intake, cardiovascular exercise, supplementation and resistance training. Additionally, this position will assist the Fitness Manager as well as the General Manager in the development of the overall growth of the fitness department inside the club. This position reports and interface with the Fitness Director concerning all forms of training and educational requirements.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Present the fitness program benefits to all members

    Evaluate member needs and encourage members to achieve their fitness goals.

    Enroll members into the personal training and fitness program and assist members with exercise programs specifically designed to their goals, making adjustments to the exercises as needed.

    Demonstrate safe exercises, which have been approved by the National Academy of Sports Medicine

    Ensure club members understand how to operate the weight resistance and cardiovascular equipment in a safe and correct manner.

    Re-rack all weights and assist in maintaining a neat, organized and clean club.

    Assist in club promotions where applicable

    Follow outlined protocol for all fitness programs.

    Enter and maintain all training appointments in Master Appointment Book.

    Call all potential and current clients to schedule and/or confirm appointments.

    Maintain client files in a neat and orderly fashion.

    Education:

    Completion of fitness program, Gold’s Gym Foundations of Personal Training and NASM-CPT required.
