    GMS is the company that provides the management, accounting, human resources, and marketing support for the group of companies in southern California known as Gold’s Gym SoCal. Currently, Gold’s Gym SoCal is comprised of over 21+ locations with new gyms opening all the time. We need a strong Facilities and Maintenance Director to lead our teams as we continuously grow.

    When you come to work, you'll be:

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Develops and administers annual maintenance budget.

    Hires, trains, supervises, coaches, and evaluates maintenance staff.

    Develops and implements continuing education for maintenance managers.

    Develops and maintains a productive maintenance team through well-structured training and mentoring programs that communicate the Company’s strategies and business objectives.

    Financial management of maintenance staff payroll and supply expense. Policies & Procedures 1.2 - 03 " Maintenance Department Scheduling & Work Hours Guideline" must be followed in its entirety on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

    Ordering of all equipment parts, sanitary supplies, maintenance supplies, and related items using the Company approved purchase order system.

    Possesses awareness and knowledge of emergency procedures.

    Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations.

    Contracts with and supervises all outside contractors.

    Ensures a high level of customer service.

    Other duties may be assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supervises daily activities and functions of facilities maintenance managers where applicable and maintenance leads.

    REASONING ABILITY

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

     Significant aptitude for mechanical repairs, ability to troubleshoot, etc.

     Demonstrates ability to understand the customer is #1 both internally and externally

     Ability to use sound business judgment and have strong analytical skills

     Ability to effectively communicate with the least amount of disturbance to all employees

     Must possess enthusiasm and a willingness to promote brand recognition
