We are looking for an exceptional candidate that knows Human Resources is not just processing paperwork, but planning fun for the team, organizing training and finding great people!
As the HR Manager you will use your business, leadership, and people skills to:
Meet with and managers in planning and directing activities, explaining and implementing decisions, and resolving significant issues involving team members.
Assist in hiring, including developing job descriptions and job advertisements, screening and interviewing candidates. Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding
Develop and deliver training to managers and employees on a variety of management and employee topics.
Administer benefit programs, including leave of absence requests, workers compensation claims, and ongoing employee benefit questions and pay plans.
Advise on compliance with state/federal laws, benefit laws, company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports, including responsibility for maintaining personnel records.
Conduct workplace investigations and reporting.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management.
Demonstrate skills critical for managerial success including leadership, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment and have the ability to work at all levels of the organization.
Reviews and makes recommendations for improvement of policies, procedures and practices
Desired skills to be successful:
5 Years of HR Experience, customer service/fitness industry background preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
Some travel required
