The Group Exercise Instructor teaches group classes that are safe, effective, fun, challenging and motivating for members and guests.
What's your specialty? We are looking for instructors who have experience in a variety of disciplines.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Coach workout classes and motivate members while leading them through proprietary workouts.
Develop client rapport to sustain and retain attendance and current clientele
Educate class participants on correct form and alternate moves during the fitness routine
Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining group fitness classes
Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to member needs and concerns
Attentively listen to members, answer questions in a professional and articulate manner, and engage in conversation before and after classes
Cleans and organizes studio after each group fitness class
When necessary, remind members of gym etiquette
Maintain an orderly studio by making sure that all equipment is clean, functional, organized and tidy
Maintain and adhere to any and all standards, guidelines and choreography as prescribed by your Group Fitness Certification(s)
We Are Looking For…
Must be 18 years of age
Current CPR/AED certification or ability to become certified
Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise science, nutrition, or related field preferred
Passion for helping people reach their health and fitness goals
Instructors having a specialized skill such as Yoga, Pilates, Body Pump, Body Attack, etc. must provide verifiable proof of education.
Minimum of 6 months teaching in a group environment.
Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM
Prior fitness instructor work experience preferred
Impeccable time management and organizational skills
