Prestigious Golf & Sports Management J-1 Internship – Los Angeles, California
Are you a non-U.S. citizen with a post-secondary degree in Sports Management, Golf Course Operations or like field, earned outside the U.S.; or pursuing a career as a Golf Pro with five years of experience? This is your chance to gain hands-on experience at a high-end private club in one of the most vibrant cities in the United States—Los Angeles, California.
This opportunity is part of the J-1 Cultural Exchange Program, designed to provide international students and young professionals with immersive training in U.S. hospitality and sports management.
American Journey Cultural Exchange (AJ1) will serve as your official visa sponsor. With over 25 years of experience, AJ1 connects international students and young professionals with premier U.S. hospitality and tourism properties.
Opportunity Highlights
Paid training program: Earn approx. $3,400/month ($20/hour, 40 hrs/week)
Rotational training in: • Golf Operations & Sports Facility Management • High-end Food & Beverage Service • Culinary Training in a professional kitchen

Golf course access on Tuesday afternoons

Housing Details
Shared apartments within walking distance to the club
Rent: $800/month (utilities included)
Deposit: $300 (fully refundable per housing agreement)
Qualifications
Eligible for the J-1 Intern or Trainee program
Non-U.S. citizen with a post-secondary degree in:
Sports Management
Golf Course Operations
Hospitality or Business
OR five years of work experience outside the U.S. in the field
Strong English communication skills
Adaptable, motivated, and eager to learn
Passion for golf and pursuing a professional golf career
Program Details
Start Date: January 2026
Duration: 12 months (full-time, 40 hrs/week)
