    Overview

    Serve as a Golf Operations Facility Manager on Duty (MOD) at very busy urban public golf facility with 36 holes, 3-hole practice course, 100-stall driving range and mini golf. Represent all golf services and food & beverage operations. Also have option to teach with the GolfDC Academy – small group classes, private/semi-private lessons, youth camps and club fittings. Teaching not required.

    You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, directing an operational team of up to 18 staff members (in season). This is a 100% hands-on ops management position with a focus on:

    opening and closing shifts for the facility

    extensive time in Pro Shop cashier shifts during peak days & times

    shifts for special events and activities (e.g. sidewalk sale, demo days, etc)

    Hours: This is a full-time, seasonal position. Scheduled hours are based on business needs. The business is open 7 days a week and on holidays. Optional teaching hours are scheduled during non-shop time. During the season, must work a minimum of 27 hours and a maximum of 36 hours in MOD/Cashier function with availability on weekends and weekday evenings.

    Required: The candidate who has a professional teaching affiliation / credential (ie. PGA, LPGA or USGTF) will be given priority review.

    Teaching Rate: Teaching with GolfDC Academy at East Potomac at instructor rate of $20/hr - $40/hr, commensurate with credential.

    For the purpose of the Affordable Care Act, this position is not assumed to average more than 30 hours per week on an annualized basis. The position will be subject to a Standard Measurement Period of one year, after which time eligibility for healthcare benefits under the Affordable Care Act will be determined. This package includes the following:
