  • Responsibilities

    CSI is looking for a Refrigeration Project Engineer for our Grand Prairie, Texas location. The individual in this role will need to be detail oriented and able to solve problems with an “outside the box” approach while learning in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities will include meeting with customers, designing and bidding of potential projects, project management, and assistance and support of site installation crews. Technical support for industrial refrigeration system installation, troubleshooting, equipment repair, and instrumentation selection will be required. The Refrigeration Project Engineer must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, both in and out-of-house. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required to build successful relationships with co-workers, vendors, and external customers. Up to 25% of travel may be required with this position.

    Required Experience

    Education/Training • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; mechanical, chemical or building construction, preferred • Valid driver’s license

    Experience • Project management • Knowledge of refrigeration design for glycol and chilling water systems • Knowledge and experience with industrial refrigeration piping systems and equipment associated with ammonia refrigeration systems for food and distribution centers and food processing facilities • 5 years in managing or designing industrial ammonia refrigeration systems • 5 years of on-site construction management • Piping design, pipe fitting or welding • Industrial refrigeration system installation, troubleshooting, equipment, and instrumentation selection

     

    This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and mouse with or without reasonable accommodation. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds, stoop, and bend.
