The Front Desk Manager will manage the needs and ensure an exceptional experience for all our guests throughout their stay, overseeing all facets of the guest experience, coordinating the check-in process, resolving guests' issues, and managing the work of the Guest Services Team while providing hands-on assistance. The Front Desk Manager is an individual who cares about providing excellent service to our guests and who can use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wondrous experience for everyone. They will maintain a positive and calm outlook, regardless of what challenges might arise, and have an excellent ability to lead and motivate your team.
Essential Functions

Hire, train, mentor, discipline, and terminate GS staff
Manage and drive quality of service
Knowledge of front office systems (Maestro)
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel rates and promotions and take an active interest in sales functions and opportunities for the inn.
Schedules GS staff effectively to the needs of the department
Ensure team members work together and communicate to provide continuously high standards of service to our guests
Works with team to develop activities and events to enhance guests’ stay.
Meets with the GM and Asset Manager monthly to review the budget and stay on goal
Liaising with all departments to ensure swift and efficient communication across the inn
Preferred Education and Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Understanding of revenue management techniques and strategies.
Maturity and the ability to perform well under pressure are required.
Job Type:
Full-Time: Must be able to work a varied schedule, including AM, Mid, and PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all department employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
