Job Summary:

A bartender is a skilled professional responsible for creating and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a bar, restaurant, or other hospitality establishments. Bartenders play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for patrons.
Essential Functions

Have a working knowledge of wine and wine presentation and food pairing
Prepare and serve various drinks, including cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, following standardized recipes or customer preferences.
Greet customers, take orders and engage in friendly conversations.
Provide recommendations based on customer preferences and answer questions about the menu.
Develop and showcase creativity in crafting unique and innovative cocktails, experimenting with various ingredients and techniques to create signature drinks.
Ensure that all drinks are prepared accurately, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Pay attention to details such as garnishes and glassware.
Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed and ensuring that popular ingredients are readily available.
Keep track of stock levels to prevent shortages.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, regularly cleaning glassware, utensils, and equipment.
Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Handle payments, process transactions, and provide accurate change. Keep track of tabs for customers seated at the bar.
Suggest premium or specialty drinks to customers, promoting higher-margin options and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Adhere to local, state, and federal laws related to alcohol service and ensure that customers are of legal drinking age.
Engage with customers by providing entertainment, such as flair bartending or storytelling, to enhance their experience.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new drink recipes, and mixology techniques. Attend training sessions and workshops to improve skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Two or more years as a Bartender, preferably in fine dining, with extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and wine
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have an understanding of state and local liquor laws
High school or equivalent
Hospitality and housekeeping: 2+ years
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
Attention to detail and precision in drink preparation
Basic math skills for accurate transactions and measuring ingredients
Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations related to alcohol service
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kegs or cases of alcohol
Job Type:
Full-time OR Part-Time: Must be able to work a varied schedule, including AM, Mid, and PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays
