Job Summary:
As part of the Goodstone Team, we are committed to inspiring and instilling a passion for excellence and allowing you to excel and grow as a team player! A Pastry Sous Chef is a skilled professional in the culinary field, specializing in pastry and baking. Their primary responsibility is to assist the head pastry chef in planning, coordinating, and executing all pastry and dessert-related activities in a kitchen.
Essential Functions

Collaborate with the head pastry chef in preparing and producing a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
Contribute to developing and enhancing pastry recipes, ensuring creativity, taste, and visual appeal.
Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all pastry items produced in the kitchen.
Assist in monitoring and managing pastry ingredient inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and freshness.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry kitchen environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, kitchen policies, and hygiene standards.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of pastry experience in a culinary setting
Strong creative skills with the ability to innovate and develop new pastry recipes.
Prior experience in a fine dining environment and high-volume environment
Effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members.
Culinary Degree preferred.
