LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
GOODWILL-EASTER SEALS MINNESOTA
ST. PAUL, MN
The Learning & Development Specialist will coordinate, conduct and maintain developed training programs for leaders and individual contributors within the organization. The L&D Specialist will also facilitate logistics, track completions, and manage follow up for all organizationally deployed trainings.
TYPICAL STARTING PAY RANGE IS BETWEEN $23-28/HR.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST: In a typical day, can expect to...
- TRAINING ADMINISTRATION AND FACILITATION: Manages registration, invites, reminders, tech set-up, and all associated logistics for in - house training sessions.
- CONTENT AND MATERIALS MAINTENANCE: Formats, brands, and updates pre-created materials to fit brand style guidelines. Creates supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.).
- LMS MAINTENANCE: Assists organization with management of LMS with trouble-shooting workflow process management and system set-up and mapping.
- ADMINISTRATION: Serves as the point of contact for communications, requests, and questions related to verifications of employment. Represents Human Resources and Learning and Development when responding to leader and employee questions and concerns. Creates and maintains L&D forms, employee file documents, and personnel files, including copy requests.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Experience creating and formatting training programs
- Strong presentation/facilitation skills
- Knowledge and use of LMS functionality, administration, and reporting
- Uses excellent problem-solving skills, along with creativity and professionalism, to address training issues
- Demonstrated ability to drive for results in order to successfully execute goals
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results
- Ability to be creative and innovative to bring new ideas to learning and development methodologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST PRIOR EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in training and work experience
- At least 1-2 years of related job experience
