    Job Description

    General Summary: This program will prepare students for the CompTIA A+ Core Series Exam: Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002)

    Topics will focus on maintaining, operating, customizing, and installing personal computers and company workstations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    § Maintains a safe classroom at all times.

    § Provide hands-on instruction and practical training to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 and Core 2 exams. Training should focus on exam objectives.

    § Create supplemental instructional materials (course outlines, syllabi, student handouts, hands-on exercises, assessments, and training aids).

    § Evaluate students to ensure they are meeting learning objectives and are prepared for the certification exams.

    § Assist in class scheduling and program management.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    § Thorough knowledge of field of instruction; subject matter of curriculum.

    § Skill in making presentations to groups of students.

    § Skills in using all available resources to further educate students.

    § Ability to plan and prioritize work.

    § Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and some weekend assignments.

    Education and Experience:

    This position requires you to be a CompTIA A+ certified technician. Must have three to five years of experience in teaching, training or other relevant position. (Tutor, Teacher, or IT Tech, etc.…)

    Physical Requirements:

    § Must be able to work in a classroom environment.

    § Must be able to communicate with students and co-workers.
