Job Description
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF MIDDLE GEORGIA AND THE CSRA (GIMG)
Maintain and manage multiple social media accounts as part of GIMG’s larger integrated marketing and communications initiatives. Work collaboratively and cross functionally to develop and execute social media campaigns that further the mission of GIMG. Create original content (text, graphics, video, and other visuals), manage posts and respond to followers. Promote the GIMG brand in a cohesive way to grow social communities and drive high levels of engagement.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee the daily management, monitoring, and maintenance of GIMG social media platforms.
· Develop and execute social media strategies and tactics against set objectives, including building GIMG mission awareness.
· Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks.
· Establish and monitor KPIs and make data-informed decisions to optimize performance of social media campaigns and initiatives.
· Research emerging trends and implement best practices to increase followers, reach and engagement.
· Identify and engage social media influencers.
· Engage in research to identify best practices, trends, industry opportunities and audience preferences.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS:
· Three years of social media management experience.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Current knowledge of and experience with the technologies and best practices related to multiple social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, and Twitter.
· Current knowledge of and experience with technologies associated with social media publishing and monitoring platforms.
· Demonstrated experience identifying and creating integrated social media campaigns for a target audience.
· Experience with paid social media, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
· Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects. · Proficient computer skills apart from social media, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, or related field.
