    Job Description

    MANAGER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)

    Responsible for oversight of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia & the CSRA’s technological systems including all hardware, software, networks, systems and devices.  Provide technology direction for other managers and supervise and direct other IT staff.

    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Design, implement, and evaluate the organization’s technology needs for current and future development to align with the current strategic plan.

    Interact with senior staff to identify, evaluate and promote new business opportunities.  Assist in the solution and future problems with technology solutions.

    Comfortable with the configuration and maintenance of cloud -based technology solutions. (Office 365, SharePoint, Azure, etc.)

    Develop technology policies and procedures which decrease the risk of data leakage and improve organizational efficiencies.

    Develop and, where appropriate, conduct computer software and hardware training for Goodwill Industries employees and others served by the agency.

    Maintain technological compliance with CARF, PCI and HIPAA, and all other legal guidelines.

    Create, foster, and manage third party relationships for ISP, hardware support, data line problem solving, and project consulting.

    Develop, maintain, and update an IT Strategic Plan in conjunction with the VP of Administration which supports the overall Goodwill Strategic Plan. 

    Evaluate end user skills and needs to enhance the organization’s effectiveness, cost, and accuracy.

    Provide hands-on support and remote coordinate to all organizational sites including those in the Middle Georgia area and the CSRA.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and/or professional certification in a relevant area preferred.

    At least Seven years working in the technology operations field with at least five of those being in a supervisory role.

    Demonstrated skill and success in prior positions of similar levels of responsibility.

    Strong listening and team collaboration skill-sets.

    Demonstrable written and oral communication skills.

    Proven understanding of technology issues, trends, and risks.

    Works in office environment.

    Requires long periods of sitting

    Working with others under stressful conditions

    Traveling as necessary to conduct agency business
