    JOB SUMMARY

    Human resources administrative assistants provide office support to HR Manager as well as the overall human resources department by maintaining personnel files, drafting correspondence, and performing various other administrative functions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Create and maintain personnel files (ensuring each file is accurate and current) and archive as needed.
    • Audit personnel files on a routine basis.
    • Enter employment data into HRIS system.
    • Sorts mail and ensures proper distribution.
    • Prepares ID badges issued at the corporate office.
    • Prepares termination files.
    • Makes copies and mails letters.
    • Assists with the morning mail pouches.
    • Reception desk coverage.
    • Assists with coordination of special events and meetings.
    • Keeps log of incoming mail, completes wage and job verification.
    • Assist with other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: GED or equivalent coursework.
    • Minimum Experience required: One year administrative experience.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer and navigate the system using a browser.
    • Ability to communicate in English effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to maintain accurate and legally compliant record.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential and discreet manner.

    • None

    OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

    There may be other duties assigned by the Manager of Human Resources that are directly related to Human Resources.

    PHYSICAL FACTORS:

    Primarily sit down position with occasional bending, twisting, reaching, pulling sitting, walking, and standing.

    Lifting up to 20 pounds.

    Inside work, normally 5 days a week, with some evening and weekend work.

    Desktop or laptop computer.
