    Job Description

    POSITION PURPOSE : DONATION ATTENDANT

    Under the direct supervision of store management the Donation Attendant is responsible for greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations, keeping accurate donor records and providing donors excellent customer service. The Donation Attendant is also responsible to participate in all sales floor store activities and maintain a professional manner to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and confidence. In addition to providing maximum security and protection of company assets.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    1. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum safety, security and protection of all donors and company assets.
    2. Greet all donors in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner and assist with unloading donations from vehicles.
    3. Offer all donors a donation receipt and ensure accurate count of all donors for the location are logged/recorded.
    4. Ensure all donations are broken down into categories assigned by supervision.
    5. Ensure drive through donation area is clean and organized and transport all trash to dumpster.
    6. Ensure donations are loaded and/or unloaded from trucks.
    7. Follow company policy and procedures according to Goodwills Team Member Handbook and all applicable SOPs for the job position.
    8. Accomplish retail and organization mission goals by completing related assignments as needed.
    9. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
    10. All other duties as assigned by management.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, along with a minimum of 1-3 months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to use a pallet jack and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

    INTENT AND FUNCTION OF POSITION DESCRIPTION

    PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE POSITION PURPOSE

    The Production Associate is responsible for sorting and processing quality merchandise efficiently in a timely manner and to assist in making price tickets on any special priced items. It is also the responsibility of the Production Associate to welcome and assist donors.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    1. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum safety, security, and protection of all customers and company assets.

    2. Responsible to fulfill and assist with all production and donation functions.

    3. Ability to sort textile from hard goods and miscellaneous items, distinguish between quality merchandise and trash/auction; maintain continuous flow of pre-sorted materials to achieve production goals, price merchandise according to company guidelines, and stock merchandise by classification on the sales floor. Ability to hang quality textiles on a rack efficiently, maintaining an average production rate of 100 pieces per hour worked; assist in daily quality pull.

    4. Ability to process wares, electronics, books and miscellaneous items, distinguish between quality merchandise and trash/auction; maintain continuous flow of pre-sorted materials to achieve production goals, price merchandise according to company guidelines, and stock merchandise by classification on the sales floor. Ability to maintain an average production rate of 100 pieces per hour worked; assist in daily quality pull.

    5. Ability to process accessories, shoes, hand bags and miscellaneous items, distinguish between quality merchandise and trash/auction; maintain continuous flow of pre-sorted materials to achieve production goals, price merchandise according to company guidelines, and stock merchandise by classification on the sales floor. Ability to maintain an average production rate of 100 pieces per hour worked; assist in daily quality pull.

    6. Safely assist in loading and unloading of trucks and vehicles without damage to merchandise; determine price, sanitize, and tag furniture and large donated items; perform testing of electrical/mechanical items for safe operation, price; place all merchandise safely on the sales floor in a timely manner.

    7. Perform housekeeping functions that ensure that workstation, production and/or donation area, and sales floor are kept neat, clean, and organized.

    8. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with all consumers, community groups, co-workers, and subordinates to promote the achievement of the company mission.

    9. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

    10. All other duties as assigned (i.e. cleaning, recovery).

    CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Customer Service Associate oversees and participates in all sales floor and backroom store activities in addition to maintaining a professional manner to ensure maximum internal and external customer satisfaction. Responsible for ensuring the security and protection of company assets.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

    1. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum safety, security, and protection of all customers and company assets.

    2. Perform Counterpoint Point of Sale functions and transactions; ensue safe and accurate handling of all cash drawer funds, media, and Goodwill property; accountable for overages and shortages.

    3. Ensure all merchandise is displayed/stocked in its proper department and in accordance with merchandising procedures. Perform necessary housekeeping duties, including, but are not limited to, cleaning and recovery of sales floor, dressing rooms and production/processing areas, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming as needed, maintaining order in all departments, including clothing, domestics, shoes/accessories, wares, books, and furniture.

    4. Responsible to assist as needed in production areas including textiles, WEB and ASH. In addition, to assisting in accepting donations.

    5. Follow company policy and procedures according to Goodwill Employee Handbook and SOPs applicable to job position.

    6. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with all consumers, community groups, co-workers, and subordinates to promote the achievement of the company mission.
