    Job Description

    As the Housing Support and Intake Specialist you would have the opportunity to work with individuals and/or families who are experiencing homelessness. You would assist them in being enrolled in the appropriate Goodwill Supportive Housing program in order to achieve housing stability. While developing a rapport and trust with participants through being the initial point of contact. Display your teamwork skills through working closely with all departmental staff to ensure successful and timely enrollment into programs, along with building your administrative skills through monitoring occupancy rates and maintaining accurate data. Equally important is using your collaboration skills with accounts payable in processing participants’ monthly rental assistance.

    DUTIES WILL ALSO INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources as they relate to the needs of Goodwill customers, including but not limited to their housing needs.
    • Attend, as requested, ongoing face to face meetings with participants at their service delivery location to ensure quality service delivery
    • Create electronic and hard client files that meet all contractual requirements.
    • Enter and modify electronic data pertaining to applicants in a central data base in a timely manner.
    • Communicate with other interdisciplinary team members regarding participant’s progress in completing the enrollment process.

    SCHEDULE: Primarily normal business hours, however can vary depending on department need.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED:  Yes, occasional local travel.

    EXTERNAL HIRING RANGE: $17.02 up to $17.70/Hour

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years of experience working with diverse populations such as homelessness, unemployed or underemployed, criminal backgrounds, ID/DD or mental health and/or drug and alcohol. OR
    • Associates' Degree and 2 years of experience working with diverse populations such as homelessness, unemployed or underemployed, criminal backgrounds, ID/DD or mental health and/or drug and alcohol. OR
    • Bachelors' Degree and 1 year of experience working with diverse populations such as homelessness, unemployed or underemployed, criminal backgrounds, ID/DD or mental health and/or drug and alcohol.

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) upon hire.  
    • Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
