  • Responsibilities

    Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately-held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast.

    GMC has an opening for Contract Administrator to support on-going projects in the Tampa, FL offices. The Contract Administrator will build on technical foundations with expectation to make significant contributions to the team efforts for the benefit of the client.

    Essential functions and responsibilities include:

    o Execute and track construction plan and addenda distribution

    o Assist with Advertisement for Bids

    o Assist with formatting of contract documents and specifications

    o Assist with Entitlement and Permitting

    o Compose pre-bid Requests for Information

    o Compile bids, execute Bid Tab and Letter of Recommendation

    o Conform and distribute contract documents, amendments and consultant agreements

    o Conform and finalize AIA documents

    o Coordinate plan review submissions

    o Maintain pre-construction records

    o Coordinate general project correspondence, including multiple regulatory agencies

    o QA/QC

    • Executes cross discipline checks and coordination

    • Recognizes and reports risk management issues to Project Engineer as appropriate

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • EXPERIENCE

    o Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction, accounting, engineering or architecture industries

    o Must have experience in executing and maintaining contract documents

    o Microsoft Office and Excel

    • SKILLS

    o Detail-oriented

    o Proven written and verbal communication

    o Excellent time management

    o Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

    o Demonstrates ability to prioritize work

    • EDUCATION

    o High School Diploma
