GMC has is seeking an Electrical Designer/Drafter to support on-going projects in the Montgomery, AL office. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing firm that will offer unlimited growth potential.

Essential functions and responsibilities include :

• The successful candidate will enhance their engineering and design efforts working on a wide range of architectural and engineering projects for both public and private sector clients
• Developing REVIT models of architectural and engineering projects, developing AutoCAD plans of architectural, and engineering projects
• Assisting Electrical Engineers on designing power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems including security, television, audio/visual, intercom, PA, etc.
• Assisting with writing specifications for electrical equipment
• Completing design tasks within budget and on schedule while effectively communicating with project managers, Sr. Electrical Engineers, and support staff to complete work efficiently
• Be available and competent to visit job sites to assist in conducting surveys, assessments, and field inspections

Minimum Qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Products
• Strong interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills are a must
