    As a custom window treatment Design Consultant, you'll demonstrate, recommend, and sell window coverings to high-end residential and commercial customers. You'll work out of our Raleigh-based showroom but will travel to customers' homes and offices throughout the Triangle. This will involve building rapport, measuring windows, demonstrating products, recommending and guiding product selection, and generating and presenting proposals to prospective clients. You will have leads provided for you through company marketing efforts, but will also be responsible for your own development efforts and additional lead generation. Design expertise/interest/knowledge, especially with hard and soft window coverings, is a definite plus. Requires extreme attention to detail. Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation, gas stipend is given. Working hours are Monday-Friday, no evenings required. Showroom coverage does include a rotating Saturday showroom coverage (10 am - 3 pm) one to two times per month. Leads are WARM, no cold calling. The company provides enough leads for a comfortable salary, but to really shine as a top producer, we suggest building personal relationships (realtors, designers, builders, social media, etc.) of your own. All personal leads are protected as your own to reward your efforts/ We have a showroom coordinator who will pre-qualify all incoming company leads and provide support for the design team. We find our best consultants have a mix of construction/DIY/sales skills. Responsibilities: • Complete 1 to 4 in-home consultations each day, no evenings required, rotating Saturday shift required in showroom 1-2x per month. Hours are 10:00am-3:00pm for showroom shifts. • Offer exceptional customer service and expert design advice • Perform preliminary window measurements • Quote over multiple platforms and use CRM to complete and present digital proposals • Accurately reports job details to our installation team • Respond to emails and phone calls promptly, document sales communications • Follow up on all leads and pending sales to closure • Stay current on custom window treatment trends and product changes, vendor training is provided • Participate in weekly team meetings and periodic training- your voice matters here!! Qualifications: • 2 years of residential sales experience preferred • Clean driving and personal record • Excellent written correspondence skills • Strong math skills • Must be able to climb stairs and lift 20lbs • Ability to measure overhead • Comfortability on a ladder up to 6 feet • Honest, Respectful, and Service Oriented Not required, but nice to have: • Experience with window coverings including custom drapery or general construction is helpful • Previous experience with invoicing • Experience with a CRM is strongly preferred Compensation: $50,000 - $150,000 yearly
