Job Description
The Encore Resort Brunch Gourmet Food Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional, personalized dining experience to guests in a vibrant resort brunch setting at Wynn Las Vegas. This role ensures the highest level of service through expert menu knowledge, refined service execution, and attentive guest engagement.
The Gourmet Food Server serves as the primary point of contact for guests, managing all aspects of the dining experience while upholding Wynn’s Forbes Five-Star standards and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Delivery
- Provide attentive, personalized service to guests throughout the dining experience
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences to deliver a seamless and memorable experience
- Maintain a polished, professional presence consistent with luxury service expectations
- Build rapport with guests to encourage repeat visits and enhance satisfaction
Order Taking & Menu Expertise
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of food, wine, and beverage offerings
- Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders, including modifications and dietary restrictions
- Provide expert recommendations based on guest preferences and dining occasion
- Clearly communicate menu descriptions, ingredients, and preparation methods
Food & Beverage Service
- Execute proper sequence of service, including presentation, timing of courses, and table maintenance
- Ensure all food and beverages are served with accuracy, proper presentation, and attention to detail
- Maintain continuous awareness of table status to coordinate course pacing
Table Maintenance & Service Precision
- Maintain a clean, polished, and organized table throughout the dining experience
- Coordinate with bussers and food runners to ensure seamless service flow
- Perform pre-bussing and reset elements as needed to maintain table readiness
- Ensure all details of the table presentation meet Wynn standards
Guest Relations & Service Recovery
- Address guest concerns promptly, professionally, and with discretion
- Partner with management to implement service recovery when necessary
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service to all guests, including VIP clientele
Financial & Operational Responsibilities
- Accurately process guest checks and handle all related financial transactions
- Upsell menu items, specialty dishes, and beverages to drive revenue
- Maintain awareness of sales goals and support department performance
Coordination & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with hosts, food runners, bussers, and culinary teams to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests effectively
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and team briefings to align on daily priorities
Compliance & Brand Standards
- Adhere to Wynn grooming, uniform, and presentation standards at all times
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Uphold Wynn’s core values and luxury brand standards in all guest interactions
- Execute all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures
