This is a full-time on-site role as a Government Benefits Specialist at Browning & Associates, P.C. in Bingham Farms, MI. As a Government Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for managing clients’ government benefits such as Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare. You will be assisting clients with applications, responding to requests for information during the application process, providing information to verify continuing disability, and staying updated on policy changes and regulations. Responsibilities: • Apply online and in person for Social Security Disability benefits and Medicaid for clients. • Complete applications and forms online. • Receive and review correspondence from Social Security and Medicaid. • Respond to requests for information and proof by providing medical records. • Appear in person for appointments at our local Social Security office to provide information as requested. • Maintain client information and files in an organized manner. • Maintain records and reporting on client benefits. Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of Social Security disability benefits, Medicaid, and Medicare. • Strong budgeting and financial acumen. • Experience in assisting individuals with benefit applications and inquiries. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Ability to stay informed about changes in government benefit programs. • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field. • Relevant certifications in benefit program management are a plus. Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 yearly
