PURPOSE Seeking an experienced Government Construction Superintendent who is responsible for overseeing federal construction project sites from pre-construction through closeout. This hands-on leadership role ensures safety, quality, and schedule performance on large, complex jobs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Lead and supervise daily jobsite operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
Coordinate with the Project Manager on schedules, resources, and three-week lookaheads.
Direct subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with specifications.
Enforce safety protocols per OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards.
Manage inspections, documentation, and project closeout.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve challenges quickly.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years in construction, including 5+ years as a Superintendent on federal projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with USACE and NAVFAC projects (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction management software.
CQM certification (required), OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid.
Ability to adapt to varied project locations and environments.
Possess or have the capability to pass a GSA background check.
ABILITY TO COMMUTE / RELOCATE:
Reliably commute the Plainview, MN offices semi-weekly, with the ability to travel throughout MN, IA, and WI for planned projects, and short notice emergencies.
