Professional Qualifications

Desirable candidates should have the following background or comparable experience:

Minimum five years law enforcement and/or SRO experience

High level of emotional intelligence

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal relationship skills with a wide variety of age groups

Job Responsibilities

Provide campus wide security during school contracted hours including providing an active visible presence throughout a multi-facility campus.

Manage traffic flow during both drop off and dismissal times.

Manage the school Critical Incident Plans including the oversight of student and faculty training

Provide and coordinate additional security during sporting events and other on-campus activities as needed.

Provide training to faculty and staff when requested.

Partner with administration if/when student safety issues arise.

Partner with school nurse to coordinate Upper School random drug testing program.

Assist in student discipline as needed.

Serve as point of contact with campus-wide security system.

Partner effectively by maintaining regular dialogue with GBC staff.

Staying Current on best practices in campus security.
