    The GSUSA Business Relations department is seeking a Sales Manager to manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management. Assist sales staff in the development of sales plans, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort). The Sales Manager will also be responsible for the selling of training or professional services in the Federal marketplace.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters and electronic bulletins.
    • Develop a viable pipeline of new business sufficient to satisfy annual quota requirements.
    • Work closely and collaborate with internal subject matter experts to formulate high value client based solutions.
    • Prospecting within territory to identify opportunities that align Graduate School Capabilities.
    • Assessing target agencies and creating the business development plan.
    • Organizing and leading capture teams, and managing all tasks and activities necessary to win new business.
    • Working closely with the Proposal Manager to develop responses to opportunities.
    • Identifying and participating in marketing and networking events, such as agency industry days and conferences.
    • Direct and coordinate activities involving DC sales team
    • Ensure correct usage of CRM (Salesforce) and other sales applications
    • Confer or consult with marketing and Communications to plan advertising and promotional efforts
    • Represent company at conferences and association meetings to promote the organization and its product and services
    • Establish and track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis.
    • Collaborate with IS on sales technology initiatives.
    • Meet pre-determined revenue goals through the activities of direct reports.
    • Train and ensure adherence to sales process.
    • Assess marketing potential of new and existing markets considering business intelligence and trends.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
    • Must have at least 5 years of sales/business development experience selling to the Federal Government
    • Detailed understanding of the Federal marketplace, including potential customers, partners and competitors.
    • Knowledge of and experience with government-wide schedule procurement vehicles, as well as the government contracting processes and practices.
    • Strong background in Marketing and successfully selling IT and Management Consulting Professional
    • Services to the Federal Government.
    • Strong network of current executive and line management relationships at key federal agencies and prime contractors (preferred).
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
    • Proficiency with Salesforce
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
