The Global Benefits Generalist will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance. As a Generalist at Latham, you will be responsible for assisting the administration of existing Firm benefit policies. The Generalist will support the department and the local offices by ensuring that staff and attorneys have access to a centralized resource and uses their knowledge of the Firm’s benefits programs to answer questions, facilitate enrollments, and monitor life style event changes for benefits purposes. The Generalist will also develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and vendors at the Firm. The responsibilities of the Generalist will also include :
As a Generalist, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Generalist must have comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions of health and welfare plans to ensure the proper administration by insurers and vendors, as well as knowledge of benefits practices. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish, have well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, strong communication skill, as well as the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus. The Generalist will be able to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion, have the organizational skills needed to manage time well, be able to multi-task, and have excellent follow-up skills.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of related Employee Benefits administration experience is desired.
