The Treasury Intern will provide support to all of the functions in the Treasury Department, assisting with functional and administrative tasks associated with ACH & Wires disbursements, checks processing, foreign exchange rates management, documentation research, customer payments posting, and treasury-accounting related activities. The Treasury Intern will also be involved in supporting the development of treasury operations activities in the new financial system, including data preparation and validation and the execution of other manual activities required for the processing of treasury transactions in a non-integrated system. The Treasury Intern will gain exposure and experience across the broad range of treasury operations activities, and will have a flexible and variable set of accountabilities that will change as the overall needs change in the Treasury Department. 1. Support the processing of domestic and international wire and ACH payment transactons. 2. Support the processing of check runs and the administrative tasks associated with the management of check payments. This would include matching with supportig documents, scanning, making copies, filing and distributing checks. 3 Assist with the posting of customer payments and miscellaneous cash receipts. 4 Participate in the preparation and distribution of daily FX Rates Reports, as well as the entry of the FX Rates into our new financial system. 5 Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries into our financial system for payments and other cash transaction activities processed by Treasury. 6 Assist with the development of treasury operations activities in the new financial system, including data preparation and validation, and the execution of other manual activities required for the processing of treasury transactions in a non-integrated financial system. 7 Support various areas of treasury operations through research and documentation acquisition that may be necessary to ensure the accuracy and execution of treasury transactions 8 Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested. Required Skills Ability to communicate well (verbal, written & listening). Ability to understand technical and numerical data. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers and employees. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Required Experience Commitment: All positions are full-time only, and summer only. Must be able to work least 10 weeks.We will start reaching out to candidates in February 2019.
