DESCRIPTION OF INTERNSHIP:

In this position you will analyze, assist and report on projects, systems or processes by supporting the Continuous Improvement Manager in determining root causes for issues that can improve:

• Yield Loss
• Waste Elimination
• Equipment Up-time
• Variations from Standard Operating Condition
• Standard Work Instructions

GOAL OF PROGRAM:

• Enhance operational excellence in a high speed, fast paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled student (or recent graduate) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering field
•  Knowledge of Gantt charts, CAPDo process, Pareto charts and Tic Charts
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion, within parameters of instructions given.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with managers, employees, vendors and customers.
